Hi, I hope you are well.
I am doing a 1 year Undergraduate placement at PwC in 2022 to 2023 However I want to apply for summer internships in 2023 at Top Investment Banks.
I would appreciate if you could explain how to attend Assessment Centres while on a Full time job. And if you should inform your manager on this.
Also my contract ends in August 2023 at PwC, is there anyway I could tell them that I want to work until June? Since I want to do Summer internships
Any other tips regarding this matter would be appreciated. Thank you

Hey @ali, firstly, congrats on your placement offer with PwC!

The first thing to ask yourself is why exactly do you want to do a summer internship at IBs?

It sounds like you have smashed it with your placement year. Regardless of what sub-industry you want to specialise in Finance, having strong experiences and support from PwC is great.

If it was me, I would rather build strong relationships with a big reputable firm first rather than messing them around with dates and showing you aren’t focused on giving them 100%.

I know it’s difficult that it’s not IB etc, but there’s plenty of time!

I would definitely recommend going to the event today…

Louis secured an internship at HSBC, a placement at Goldman and a Graduate at PwC. He’s the best person to ask for advice.
