Macquarie’s application form is quite straightforward. No cover letter is required. Only a CV.
How to respond for success
I made sure that my CV is aligned with the company’s core values and position requirements. Note, it is important that you include your graduation date (month, year) on your CV so that the recruitment team knows you are eligible.
Expect a 1 month wait before advancing to the next stage.
Numerical Reasoning
It takes around 40 minutes, containing numerical and inductive reasoning. Read through the instructions carefully and make sure that you have a pen, a piece of paper and a calculator.

Expect typical questions like that of Korn Ferry online assessments.
How to respond for success
Make sure that you review some basic math, for example, currency conversion. It’d be great to check out the Korn Ferry website and take some practice questions before you jump into the actual assessment.

Virtual Interview
It took around 30 minutes to complete. One practice question and 6 or 7 interview questions. I went through my CV, looked up at Macquarie’s recent deals, and went over some typical competency questions.
Example
Expect basic motivational, behavioural, market sense, and market sizing questions. Eg: How many people are flying over the sky right now?
How to respond for success
Make sure that you are calm enough. Some questions you may run out of time to answer. It’s totally okay. Don’t panic. I expected the video interview to have some tricky questions like the market sizing one that I had. It’s more important to share your logic and thoughts than actually get to the conclusion.
